🌿 Returning to Roots: A New Season for MCC
Back in January, I shared how MCC was strengthening its foundation — both online and inside the cozy little corner of the Lil’ Embroidery Shoppe where so much of my creativity has lived. What I didn’t know then was that the months ahead would become a quiet season of reflection, growth, and gently reimagining how and where I create.
Now, as MCC returns to its original home, I’m reconnecting with the heart of why I started this journey in the first place: creativity, intention, and the joy of making something meaningful with my own two hands.
✨ Coming Home to Creativity
Stepping back into MCC’s first workspace felt like opening a familiar chapter — one filled with glitter, acrylic, and that unmistakable spark of inspiration. Last weekend, I turned on my laser for the first time in months, and today I laid glitter again. Those simple, shimmering moments reminded me just how much I’ve missed the rhythm of creating.
This return home isn’t a step backward — it’s a soft, steady step toward clarity. A chance to rebuild routines, nurture ideas, and give MCC the breathing room it needs to grow with intention. And even as MCC settles back into its home studio, I’m still grateful for the familiar faces and friends I’ve made — the ones I get to see on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the shoppe — connections that continue to add warmth and community to this creative journey.
As life shifted over the past several months, I found myself listening more closely to what MCC needed next. The quiet moments, the pauses, the gentle nudges — they all pointed me back home. Bringing MCC here felt like the right next step for my family, my creativity, and the balance I’ve been working to cultivate. It gives me room to explore new ideas, reconnect with my craft, and move at a pace that feels aligned, sustainable, and true.
✨ Rebuilding with Intention
With MCC home again, I’m focusing on:
refining the website to feel warm, welcoming, and true to the brand
developing new products (including a growing line of badge reels)
creating a space that supports both inspiration and balance
reconnecting with the joy of making
And as I’ve been settling back into the home studio, I’ve also been thinking a lot about the world we’re all navigating. Things feel uncertain — from the economy to gas prices to the rising cost of groceries — and I know many of us are carrying more than we talk about. Because of that, I’m taking a close look at MCC’s pricing. I’ve only raised prices once since 2019, and I’m committe
d to staying thoughtful and fair. I’m also working on new, creative pieces that are intentionally budget‑friendly, because handmade joy should still feel accessible, even in hard seasons.

✨ Looking Ahead with Hope
Change can be unexpected, but it often opens doors we didn’t realize were waiting. Returning home has renewed my energy and reminded me why this work matters. I’m excited for what’s ahead — the projects taking shape, the ideas waiting to bloom, and the chance to share more of the creative process with you.
If you’re navigating your own season of transition, I hope you give yourself permission to pause, breathe, and realign. Growth isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet, steady, and exactly what we need.
Here’s to new beginnings, familiar spaces, and the beautiful journey of creating with intention!
